Orchid Germplasm Resources and Breeding Innovation Team

The team members include a total of 12 people. The research team constructed hybrid breeding and industrialization technology systems for Phalaenopsis, Cymbidium Hydrid, Dendrobium,and Chinese Orchid. A number of new orchid varieties with outstanding advantages and excellent comprehensive characters were bred. The research team has won 32 awards for various scientific and technological achievements. The research team published a high-quality genome sequence of Cymbidium sinense, and improved the protoplast research system and the genetic transformation system of Chinese Orchid, laying a solid foundation for orchid molecular breeding.
